I have been fascinated by classic horror characters since I was a kid watching the Friday-midnight movies on TV. Who wouldn’t love the misunderstood Frankenstein’s monster, or the furry Wolfman ruled by the phases of the moon? But, the vampires....lordy! Suave masters of the dark, fascinating old castles with secret passageways; what’s not to like? Okay, the blood thing, sure, but are they supposed to starve? [sigh]

These days, when I’m not sitting in front of my laptop or scribbling ideas on a notebook page (pencil only, friends—pencils never let you down), I’m out enjoying the beauty of the Northwest Ohio Metroparks waiting for football (Rockets and Buckeyes) and hockey (Bruins and Blue Jackets) season to start or taking the dog to Mud Hens baseball games.
